Colored Pencil: Blue Rose (finished)

 Hmmm…I said that I would finish this one today and I think it’s finished now. Perhaps I still have to tweak it a little bit, but I call it done for now.  It’s time to move on with the acrylic painting again :).

Colored Pencil: Blue Rose (WIP)

Decided that I need a little break from the acrylics. So I started a little colored pencil project titled “Blue Rose”. It’s almost finished now and I’m sure that it will be completely finished by tomorrow :).

Bastet

Bastet (also spelled Ubasti, Bast or Pasht) was an ancient feline Egyptian goddess of war. She was highly revered, especially in the lower parts of Egypt. Originally she had been depicted as a lioness, but later generations turned her image into that of a domestic cat :).

This is my very first attempt at painting an artist card. With oil pastels it is a quite difficult thing to get details done while working on such a small size (2,5″ x 3,5″). Nevertheless I had much fun doing it.

Bad Habit

Lately I’ve developed the wrong kind of attitude towards my artwork. I just start my drawings and I don’t finish them off :(. I’m not that kind of gal usually and I really think that I should do something about it before it will turn into a habit.

Instead of finishing Sue I started a portrait of Sophie*. It’s just a postcard which means that I should be done with it soon…, but…, …ya know… , actually…

*Ya dunno Sophie? Well, she’s the most famous deviantart-muse and here you go
